Advance Engineering Services Ltd was founded in 1982 in the UK. It specialized in steam engines. Later on, in the 80s, we expanded into precision engineering, then by the end of the 90s, had progressed into the manufacturing of vacuum chambers.
In 2004 it changed ownership. It was important that our company improved in all areas to move with the times. We not only invested in the manufacturing side by purchasing two CNC Milling machines, but we also went into Tig brush weld discoloration removal. UHV Ultrasonic cleaning, leaking checking, and inspection are all done in-house.
We work mainly in stainless steel 304L/ 316L and 316LN and have the ability to reach high tolerances. Our main services are;
Turning, Milling, Horizontal Boring, General and mirror polishing, Tig Welding, Pfeiffer leak checking wet or dry using helium, Tig brush, and Ultrasonic cleaning.
From Our Managing Director:
I’ve worked for Advance engineering services ltd for over 30 years; I started as an apprentice studying city & guilds 200 in mechanical engineering and E.I.T.B level one, two, and three full-time for a year at Hastings College of Arts & Technology. then studying city & guilds 205 certs in mechanical engineering craft studies and a B-Tech national certificate in mechanical engineering. During my final year at college, following the city & guilds 205 3rd year machining course, I produced a high level of laboratory work and achieved credits in my final examinations, which led to the HMD pumps prize for the best craft mechanical student, In January 2004 Advance engineering went into administration under the former owner, and I was made redundant, but six weeks later with my new business partner Mr. Lobsang Wangyal we bought what was left of Advance engineering. Now nearly 18 years later, as Managing Director, we are still here surviving through Brexit and Covid.
